Here’s a great post and idea to welcome the new year, from fellow blogger The Dolly Mama. I plan to figure out my word of the year and post it soon! Visit Dolly Mama’s site for simple steps to a non-condemning alternative to New Year’s Resolutions — then let me know if you find your word…
A “Word of the Year” is intended to be a kind guide that walks along side of us during the year, not a harsh master that dictates a set of “to-do’s” (God knows we don’t need any more of those voices in our heads). It’s a friend that accompanies us during our journey. (The Dolly…
I’ve been doing this for several years, and I love it! My word for the year is VICTORY, and my verse for the year is Exodus 14:13-14. Can’t wait to hear yours! 🙂

I should have known you were already doing something cool like this! Victory — what a sweet word…and a perfect verse: “Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

I really like your word. It’s a good one for this stage–and really, all stages–of life.

My word for 2020 is consistency. (I took 2019 off from having a word for the year.) It is my desire to be more consistent in several areas of my life. Personally, spiritually, mentally and physically.
Maybe in 2020 I will even be more consistent in reading blogs!
Actually thought of you this morning while reading Col. 1:1-17. Happy thoughts.
Enjoy the days as God directs.
